From the third water fall and the highest one on the Western litza, water is rather high.

I explored and fished the western Litza during my stay in Russia last June. I like the river , it is a big fish river like the Kola river.
Western Litza is later than Kola river , as we start on the Kola river last week of May , I think the best would be to start on the Western Litza 15th June. Prime time must be from mid June until end of July.
Western Litza is a powerful river , fast stream , waterfalls , but very pretty tailouts and nice calm pools in between, sucha good fly water.
I think the ideal number of rods for Western Litza would be 6 rods , and perhaps only 4 rods in June and 6 rods in July , we need to find it out next summer when we start to fish this new venue.
Look at this nice tail ! Here every fish must rest after taking the falls , this is the second fall on Western Litza.
The fall pool at the first falls , here is spotted 50 big salmon in the tail close to the bank.
Western Litza is only 40 minutes to drive from Ura river , so might be a great idea to fish both rivers during one week.
The plan is to built a tented camp for 6 rods at the Western Litza , to be located right at the first falls.
We are planning to start opperating for next year 2008.
Again Western Litza is not for high volume fishing , this is the river you fish for few and high qualitie fish, here you are looking for a fish of a life time. I would think the catch would be between 1 and 4 salmon a day.
