Well Afrika is the place ..
The Eastern Cape has long been one of Southern Africa’s major hunting destinations with the little town Rhodes as the centre located in the remotest mountain areas.
This area is well known for its Mountain Reed buck and Vaal Rhebuck hunting, the latter being one of Africa’s most challenging antelope species to hunt.
The area also boasts a large number of Blesbuck and Black Wildebeest as well as the extremely sporty Greywing Francolin that only occur 7000ft above sea level.
The antelope hunting is done either on horseback or on foot, depending on the terrain and hunters are required to be relatively fit for this. All hunts are highly ethical and done in utmost respectful way towards nature.
Hunting for Greywing Francolin is done on foot and over English Pointers and the bag limit is between 6 and 10 birds per gun per day.
Clients will be picked up in Bloomfontein or Port Elisabeth airports. A Professional Hunter will accompany clients on all the hunts and will provide skinners and hunting dogs (pointers) where necessary.

Africa has a considerable number of fishing attractions. Some of them are world-class and worth a special trip, but many more are just simple good interesting fishing opportunities which makes an ideal extension to a general interest trip.
Tarpon from Angola!

I have lived and fished mainly in Southern Africa for the last 19 years and know most of the fishing opportunities and the best guides and outfitters.
I have made agreements with guides and outfitters across Southern Africa and Lax-a can now offer you a broad variety of fishing possibilities.

We will continuously be expanding our range of products, so if you are having a particular interest, please get in touch with me.

Africa is close! There is no time difference from Europe and you get there on a direct overnight flight and can be fishing or watching elephants the next day!

In Africa there are year round fishing possibilities, and some of the best fishing is in the dark depressing months of the Northern hemisphere. Leave the rain and darkness and spend a week or two in the sun.

Wake up every morning in sparkling sunshine and have a swim in the crystal clear warm ocean before grabbing the fly rod to go battling with some of the fiercest saltwater fish on the planet. Or go horseback riding into remote trout streams of Lesotho. Or battle the fierce tiger fish on the Zambezi river. The list of adventures we can offer you is long and growing.
While we have started with the fishing, hunting will follow soon. Keep an eye on our news section.

If you are interested in trying out some of the fishing on the last fly fishing frontier, or some of the finest hunting get in touch with me.
