FOUR RIVERS LODGE MONGOLIA
Mongolia is 3 times the size of France and has 2.3 million inhabitants; 1 million of whom live in Ulan Bator. Mongolian people are mainly nomads and have huge herds of cows, horses, sheep, yaks and goats, all feeding wild on the Steppe.

Mongolia can really be "The Trip" of a lifetime if you are willing to take an interest in the Mongolian people and are prepared to get to know a culture totally different from our own. This extraordinary trip to the other side of the world is especially designed for the fly fishing enthusiast and true nature lover who wants to explore new scenery, culture, way of life, and an incredible catch and release fishery found nowhere else on the planet.
FISHING AND ACCOMMODATION
This vast resource extends over 95 miles of wild rivers and has many, wide and varied pools and runs. Many of these stretches have NEVER been fished. Your fly could well be the first ever to be cast over a given run. We have explored many prime locations and are discovering new hot spots every week. A number of trophy fish surely lie waiting for the well made presentation.

TAIMEN
Taimen fishing is a very exciting challenge. Every cast is a chance to swing your fly over hugh indigenous members of the salmon family. And maybe catch your fish of a lifetime.

Taimen, as the Huchen (Salmo hucho) are called here, reach trophy size in Mongolia. The average length runs 32 inches (80 cm) but many of the fish caught top the 40 inch mark and the really big monsters can be a gigantic 5 feet in length (1.5 meters).

These brutes go for big flies, preferably with plenty of glitter. A very special experience is to fish a mouse imitation on the surface. We guarantee you a hugh surge of adrenalin when a really big Taimen attacks with pent up vengeance. You will simply not believe the exhilaration. Not every attack , however, ends with a netted fish. Taimen must be played with considerable skill and many are lost during the fight or simply miss the fly in their explosive attack.

We reckon that out of three or four contacts with Taimen, one fish is landed. But every take itself is a special moment of its own.
LENOK AND GRAYLING
In addition to the big Taimen, the waters we fish hold thriving stocks of sporting Lenok. These beauties grow to 13 - 27 inches (35-70 cm) and the larger brutes also take Taimen flies. While most anglers concentrate exclusively on Taimen, those interested in great dry fly fishing, nymphs, and smaller streamers will have a ball with these trout look-a-likes. Grayling can often be found moving in shoals in different currents of the river.
FOUR RIVERS CAMP
The camp in which you will stay occupies a prime location near the junction of four individual rivers. The Chulut, Delger, Ider, and Selenge rivers all boast prime pools which can be accessed by jet-boat. Many stretches of water are within easy reach of the camp. All of them offer first-class fly fishing. And there are many interesting spots within easy walking distance from the camp... ideal for guests wanting to cast an early morning or later evening fly. The lodge itself accommodates eight guests. Two guests share a guide and one boat. The rivers are fished in rotation to ensure that the individual pools are not over-fished. This is one time proven secret of our successful fishery management. Contrary to the migratory Salmon, Taimen are sedentary and should not be heavily fished. The extensive river system, the mobility of the jet-boats and the limited number of guests guarantee first-class fishing in a near pristine environment. Even guests who may fear roughing it in such a remote location will be astonished at the comfort found in the camp.
