The days after the turn of the full moon brought increased SAILFISH and DORADO activity. The captain reported an average of 4 -5 DORADO per day along with a 2 - 3 SAILFISH strikes per day. Flyfishing for Dorado just 90-minute drive from Buenos Aires city????? YES, and with excellent results. The conditions can't be better! The Parana river and it´s delta give us an incredible fishing. The big floods this area receive last march are showing today how many dorado arrive to San Pedro.

It is a high season for Marlin and Sailfish in Venezuela and Caracas is the place , we have decided to try our luck to morrow and we have hired a good boat and captain for tomorrow. So we are flying now from Los Roques to Caracas. Yesterday I saw the biggest Permits I have ever seen one was over 50 pounds and that was the one I hooked for a second and almost caused a heart attack. Daniel landed this fine Tarpon day before yesterday , a great day for him , hooked 4 Tarpon and some fine Bonefisn and Jacks. To day i and Gusti where touring around searching for Tarpon , we ended up in having a lobster fiesta together with a lobster fishermans far out on the flats , great lunch and lots of fun. A hot and to sunny day for Icelanders , we hooked a couple of Tarpons to day , non landed, Daniel went for Permits and spotted 40 of them .... followed the fly but not taking , some Bonefish and Jacks landed , tide is to high for the Bonefish flats. Was a nice day to day , sun not so strong , overcast and showers , we have been catching all kinds of fish to day , hooking and loosing good size Tarpons , Daniel landed one of 70 pounds ,  I landed one as well of 70 pounds ,  we all landed good numbers of Jacks and Bonefish. We arrived to day with a small charter to Los Rocques , we are staying one a wonderful litte family owned Posada. We went out for couple of hours fishing to day and landed 7 Bonefish all good sized 4 - 8 pounds , I lost a good Tarpon and Daniel another one. Daniel Beilinson just arrived to day in Caracas from Buenos Aries, Daniel is the one who have organized the Los Roques fishing for us. We are getting all excietd and flyi9ng to morrow morning to the islands. Daniel is very optimistic and says plenty of Tarpons around , high tide so it will be more diffycult for the Bonefish. The Arbot beat holds 2 rods only , sharing 2 km of excellent Brown Trout water on the famous Laxa river in the north. After mid season .. from late July until the 20^th September salmon are coming to the beat as a great addition to the Brown Trout fishing.

The Halla river is a small, charming Salmon River in the Bay of Húnaflói, North Iceland. This is a two rod river, ideal for families and a small group of friends.

The Trout Beat of Midfjardara provides one of the country’s finest arctic char fishing. These hard fighting char, generally range from 2 to 5 pounds, occasionally larger.

Stormy conditions and light angler activity was reported last week in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo. Returning angler, Mary Peachin, who landed 13 Roosterfish in one day with Captain Adolofo took no mercy on the inshore game fish as she followed up her first day performance by landing 20 Roosterfish on her second day.
