The 80 kilometres Acha / Pacha program

Lax-á are launching a dazzling new Ponoi program for 2007 – “Acha / Pacha 80 Km program” - in July and the beginning of August when you will have the opportunity to fish 3 days in each of these Classic Salmon Camps – a total of 80 Kilometres of prime Salmon water. The Acha camp stretch contains a large number of classic pools and also has access to the Acha river (second largest tributary on the Ponoi river system) – for those of you would like to skim a Bomber or to hitch a small tube over thousands of salmon – Ponoi is the place.
Pacha camp (one of the most prestigious camps on Kola) together with the Acha camp are the only camps on the astonishing Ponoi River where you will be accommodated in cosy cabins that keep out the elements and the mosquitoes – for 2007 Four new huts will be added to the already Six existing huts – which means that we can now guarantee single accommodation for all Acha rods. All huts will be up graded with new sleeping bags and mattresses – also a new Shower / Sauna house has just been completed in Acha camp. Large Jet boats will provide the daily transport and between the two Camps.
The Pacha camp is located 40 kilometres upstream of the Acha camp - Pacha camp also offers a very high quality of timbered accommodation with a large communal building for eating and socializing therein. Rods are accommodated in comfortable twin-bedded cabins which are heated by stoves. The catch records show similar returns to those at celebrated Acha camp
The Pacha stretch also contains a large number of Classic pools and rapids – for those who would like to fish world class Salmon water, Pacha is the place – finally the nature is second to none along Ponoi – with guarantee a life long memory.
This new Ponoi concept developed during a test fishing week in July 2006 gave us a very clear picture of an untouched gem - top rod Henrik Nilsen from Denmark caught 75 Salmon during Six days test fishing Acha / Pacha – Now you have the same opportunity!
