ESTANCIA TECKA Rio Tecka and Rio Corcovado Patagonia, Argentina
Caridad Lodge.
We are PROUD to be the SOUL AGENT in Europe for Tecka. This is the finest private water fishing for Rainbow, Brown and Brook Trout in the universe. Estancia Tecka offers 900 square miles of private ranch land and virgin waters for those who long for wilderness, untouched areas, spectacular visits, and luxurious accommodations.
Tecka Headquarters Lodge.
Tecka offers two unique luxury lodges ? Caridad and Tecka Headquarters. The CARIDAD Lodge has room for 12 anglers in 6 bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom.

The lodge is newly renovated, and classically decorated and its friendly and professional staff will treat you to outstanding Argentine hospitality. TECKA Headquarters’ Lodge holds 8 anglers in 4 double rooms each with ensuite bathroom. This lodge is the "old" ranch headquarters and was recently beautifully renovated to encompass an atmosphere reminiscent of early days steeped in historical character.
Both lodges offer the quality of the food, wine and service, which is not only superior, but simply as good as it gets anywhere one might choose to travel. Reserved for fly-fishing only, the Rio Corcovado runs wild and clear across the pampas and 45 miles of the vast Tecka Ranch. Tecka’s guides lead you to isolated deep pools full of large rainbow and brook trout.
Accessed by drift boat, you will fish in some of Patagonia’s most carefully protected and managed waters against a backdrop of snow-covered Andean peaks The Rio Tecka is a classic spring creek with a low gradient and slowly moving, clear water. This intimate fishery will have you sight casting to a large population of rainbow, brown and brook trout.

Trout here average 14-16" with many larger fish holding in the prime lies. Several very small and widely scattered largunas also hold surprisingly huge Brook Trout and Rainbow

Trout which will attack a well presented fly as if they have been waiting their entire life to do so. Season: November 1– April 30. All fishing is catch and release and single barbless hooks.

Estancia Tecka offers 175.000 hectars of land, wirgin waters and streams beond believe. For those who long for wilderness, untouched areas and luxurous accommdodations in the middle of nowhere.

In 1998 the owners of Tecka started the fishing lodge at the remodeled headquarters house of Estancia Caridad. The lodge has access to many miles of the Rio Corcovado and Rio Tecka. These rivers have plentiful wild rainbow, german brown and brook trout.
We recommend at least a weeks fishing at Tecka/Caridad. A great combination would be a week at Tecka in addition to a week on Rio Grande.
The Fishing
Reserved for fly-fishing only, the Rio Corcovado runs wild and clear across the pampas and through 45 miles of the vast Tecka Ranch. Tecka’s guides lead you to isolated deep pools full of large rainbows and brook trout. Accessed by drift boat, you will fish in some of Patagonia’s most carefully protected and managed waters. The Corcovado cuts across territory famous for its beauty. Fish against a backdrop of snow-covered Andean peaks with nothing but the horizon to obstruct your cast.
You will also have the opportunity to fish the Rio Tecka, which is a spring creek. Tecka is a classic spring creek with a low gradient and slowly moving, smooth, clear, water. This intimate fishery will have you sight casting to a large population of rainbow, brown and brook trout. Trout here average 14-16" with many larger fish holding in the prime lies. The fishing in Tecka Spring Creek requires finer tippets and techniques than those required in the Rio Corcovado, but you will find that the Tecka’s trout are more than willing to take a well presented fly.
Season: November 1, 2005 – April 30, 2007
Great rainbows at Tecka & Caridad Argentina 2006
The fishing season 2006 at Tecka was very good for rainbows, browns and brooks!
The happy angler on the picture is Eliot C. Junior. who spent a week at Tecka last season.
There many possibilities for non fishing wives, since bird watching, horse riding, trekking (an hour an a half walking we have some ancient caves from headquarters'), Corcovado rapids, lenga woods, and many other interesting places to walk.
