Argentína frétta bréf fyrir veiđitímabiliđ 2009.
It is hard to conceive of a more diverse and beautiful outdoor paradise than Argentina. From central Patagonia at the foothills of the towering Andes where big Brookies, Rainbows and Browns lie waiting in wandering spring creeks and rambling big river rips to acrobatic high flying Golden Dorado cruising the massive Ibera Marshlands to monstrous world class Sea Trout in Patagonia’s world renown Rio Grande and Rio Gallegos Rivers. This, indeed, is a fly fisher’s paradise with 5 star lodges, international cuisine and a summertime that starts around Christmas. What could be more welcoming than a glorious day on the water when the Northern Hemisphere is frigid and frozen. More and more sportsmen are discovering just how good this world class resource really is and how quickly it is becoming more popular all the time. Bookings continue to grow by leaps and bounds and what once could be made just weeks in advance are now being secured many months and even as much as a year ahead. We have now started booking 2009 destinations and invite you to take a look at the possibilities to add your name to the list. Your choices are many, wide and varied.
The first stop for any of these great destinations is beautiful Buenos Aires, the city of tango, empanadas, fine wines and thick juicy steaks.

Buenos Aires boasts amazing parks, fabulous shopping, friendly people, inexpensive world class restaurants, and sights and scenes like you can never imagine back home.
For many traveling to Argentina from the Northern Hemisphere it is indeed a long trip. This is also what makes Argentina so inviting because you are so far away that everything is wonderous. Many fishermen have discovered that it’s great to add an extra week or even 3-4 days to make the long journey more productive. How nice after spending a wild and windy week chasing big Sea Trout at the bottom of the globe then to fly back to Buenos Aires and meet family and friends for a few days in this great city then head out together for the very temperate summer of central Patagonia to enjoy another great week of sunshine and superb Rainbow, Brown and Brook Trout fishing. Or head way north for the warmth of the Ibera Marshes and a chance at the hard fighting Golden Dorado or maybe 3-4 days of wing shooting and relaxing in lodges that have facilities to accommodate many vacationer’s idea of paradise. If, on the other hand, a week is all you have; we are going to do everything possible to make it a week you will remember for years to come.

RAINBOW, BROWN AND BROOK TROUT
The West Central highlands of Patagonia lying at the base of the towering Andes Mountains hold some of the finest Rainbows, Browns and Brook Trout on the planet. And dry flies are the order of the day for some incredible top surface action. Huge Brookies in tiny lagunas devour mice patterns skittered along the surface, Wary Browns can be coaxed from small spring creek hiding holes, and monster Rainbows abound and attack a fly on the way down as often as on the way up.
ESTANCIA TECKA
HEADQUARTERS LODGE AND CARIDAD LODGE CHUBUT, PATAGONIA
Estancia Tecka boasts two world class lodges sitting on 675 square miles of private land with no public access. It is a working ranch in the Esquel region of Argentina, Patagonia and the water is endless. Fifty miles of the renowned Corcovado River runs through the property. We are proud to be the SOUL AGENT in Europe for this fantastic fishery.
The Caridad Lodge sits very close to the crystal clear Corcovado River and has room for 10 anglers in 5 bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. The lodge is newly renovated, and classically decorated. Its friendly and professional staff will treat you to outstanding Argentine hospitality. A day drifting this awesome fishery is pure unadulterated delight. There are also spring creeks which require a more delicate presentation but the size of its Brookies, Rainbows, and Browns will astound even seasoned veterans.
Tecka Headquarters Lodge holds 8 anglers in 4 double rooms each with ensuite bathroom. This lodge is the “old” estancia headquarters and has been beautifully renovated to encompass an atmosphere reminiscent of early days steeped in historical character. Headquarters Lodge sits on the Tecka Creek, a classic spring creek with a low gradient and slow moving, clear water. This intimate fishery will have you sight casting to a large population of Rainbow, Brown and Brook trout. Trout average 14”-16” with many larger fish holding in the prime lies. Several very small and widely scattered largunas also hold surprisingly huge Brook Trout and Rainbow Trout which will attack a well presented fly as if they have been waiting their entire life to do so. All fishing is catch and release and single barbless hooks. The entire Tecka ranch watershed is available to fish from either of the two outstanding lodges.

Everything about Tecka is magical from roaming wild llamas, to pink flamingos, to running rheas and soaring condors to the spectacle of a Southern Hemisphere nighttime sky.

I have been trout fishing for over 50 years now and have visited many places around the world and I assure you this is trout fishing as good as it will ever get.

TRES VALLES LODGE
RIO PICO, PATAGONIA, ARGENTINA

The totally new and very exclusive Tres Valles Lodge hosts 8 anglers in four private rooms and is set amongst the snow capped Andes. For non anglers we provide a stay that will exceed all expectations with horseback riding, hiking , a host of boating options, star gazing, and bird watching. The lodge also offers every convenience imaginable including a luxurious fire-placed lower sitting room, an upper lounge with deep cushioned seats, a beautifully stocked reading room and cushioned lounge chairs both in every bedroom and every outside deck.

The cuisine is absolutely outstanding as is the service in its presentation. It is hard to conceive of a fishing lodge today that offers a better range of luxurious accommodations, fine service, exquisite food and outstanding fishing and non fishing opportunities.
