Today Lax-á celebrates it's 20 year anniversary.

To all our good friends, clients and wellwishers home and abroad we are proud to present, that we are currently celebrating our twentieth aniversary. That’s right, the Lax-á angling club has been around for twenty years. It doesn’t seem that much looking back, but that just goes to show you that time flies when you are enjoying life, doing well and making progress.....

I had to email you to say what a superb week we had in the middle of August on the East Ranga. The fishing was terrific - 103 between 3 of us on 2 rods. Skuli is one of the best guides in the world. He could not have done more for us.

Having been to various rivers in Russia and returned with tales of catching either prolific numbers of small salmon or smaller numbers of large salmon, my son Henry was becoming extremely jealous. After getting mediocre mock GCSE results I decided he needed an incentive to do better. Foolishly I promised him a trip to Russia if he did well. This seemed to focus his mind and he knuckled down and exceeded our expectations....

Our fine client, Mr Terry Nab, sent us a letter to share with us his fishing experience from Russia and Iceland this summer. He fished with us, the second week of July, on the Ponoi River/Acha Camp in Russia and afterwards he went to Iceland and fished the Galtalækur, Varma and Brynjudalsa. We are just back from Jardines De La Reina ,in Cuba. Our holidays have been perfect: Perola is a superb ship and we were looked after like Kings: OUTSTANDING large cabins,each with perfect Bathrooms...fantastic food (lots of lobsters and lovely fish perfectly prepared...very good Suits,e.t.c.). The staff was excellent and so were our guides. The Parque Central hotel is Perfect.
