Rio Manzo lodge
Rio Manzo lodge, Nahuel Huapi National Park
Deep into the wild and still untrodden beauty of the Argentinean Patagonia, right into the Andes, Río Manso Lodge is located on the bank of Hess Lake and the Manso river - in the Nahuel Huapi National Park-, 90 minutes south west of the city of San Carlos de Bariloche.
The wide range of fishing zones close to our lodge, with plenty of fish -due to very little fishing pressure in the area coupled with the spectacular scenery view of Mount Tronador and Lake Hess and our international service level facilities, will make your visit an unforgettable experience.
Weather diversity and scarce fishing pressure make fly fishing results in the lodge area, excellent. Our programs include many options: you can fish any of the different sections of the Manso river, which runs for 20 miles without ever leaving our land, we can also take you fishing deep into the lake using belly-boats or our skiff boats which enable us to access a wide variety of areas which are pristine and literally untouched. This assures us great experiences deep into the majestic National Park being the only ones located in the heart of the area.
You can hook into Brook, Brown and Rainbow of remarkable quality, (these trout were introduced into the area in 1904 and have bred without the intervention of man since then turning wild for many generations) ranging from 2 to 4 lbs, with the occasional 8-10 lbs. 15 strikes a day per rod is average.
Rio Manzo lodge is situated in the second oldest National park in the world. The lodge was rebuild this year by the river Rio Manzo and is beautifully situated at a panoramic location across the mountain Trecadore and Granitico, two of the highest mountains guarding the area.
The Rio Manzo lodge offers everything there is in comfort and quality.
