Great hospitality, comfort and gastromy

The idea of Laguna Larga fly fishing lodge was first devised in France. Gonzalo Martínez –gastronomic chef and a lover of fly fishing- and his wife Laura – a professional in communication who loves nature - started thinking and working on a project wherein their greatest passions would be combined: gastronomy, fly fishing, the respect for environment, the love for nature and people. Furthermore, they thought it should be located in a unique place in the world. Once in Esquel, they met Andres and Gisela Stewart, two business people who love wildlife, have a huge experience in business around the world and who wanted to invest in Patagonia.

Thus, Laguna Larga comes to life: an attractive and seductive lodge that has four spacious rooms to ensure a really comfortable stay and an excellent fishing with quality and variety. At the same time, it offers a high gastronomy service with handcrafted and homemade products, wines from the best cellars in Argentina; all of this situated in the Argentine Patagonia where you may go all over hundreds of kilometers, wade whole rivers, make float trips in lakes from one coast to the other without finding anybody.

Gastronomy

The high level of the gastronomy is one of the outstanding characteristics of Laguna Larga.

The exquisite garden vegetables fuses with meats and fishes to make up delicious dishes that will allow the tour around Patagonia to be remembered as the perfect combination between an excellent fishing and good life.

Our gastronomy team, headed by Gonzalo Martinez, will delight ou clients during their stay. Our tables provide exquisite foods as cold meats and cheeses, red fruits maison marmalades and others; breads and croissants;  hare, partridge, trout, egg plant marinades, etc; smoked trout; delicious barbecues; filled pasta as smoked salmon sorrentinos (a

kind of filled pasta), wild mushrooms as the morilla and boletus, or pine tree mushrroms. We prepare our own desserts and a full range of liquors with the finest flavors. A great variety of argentinean wines will be selected for each meal.
