This is a place for shooting!.
The lodge is one of the best in Argentina , so comfortable , the picture is from the sitting area outside beside the jacuzzi where you can have a water massage.
Outdoor dining facilities, top class and spacious.
Indoor dining room if the guests feel like eating indors. Plenty of room, charming decour along with the amazing aroma from the kitchen!
You take lunch outside in the field, an Argentinian asado ... beef , lamb and a good Argentinian Malbec with it. It can't be bettered!

You take a lunch brake for a couple of hours during mid day , doves start to get active again around 15:00 hours. Siesta for 2 hours makes all the diffrence, as all that shooting is bloody hard work!

There is a 24 hour fire place in the garden , which is very cosy and parties often sit long hours out there as it is extreamly easy to forget time amidst the still of the oncoming night in the company of beautiful people!.
La Dormida can accommodate up to 10 guns at a time ,best time for shooting is all year around! So that will help you pick your spot!
You shoot an average of 1000 shells a day ! 20 boxes before lunch and another 20 boxes in the afternoon. If your shoulder holds out that is!
Shotguns? No problem. You do not need to bring any as we provide all guns , Bennelly - Beretta under-over or semi automatics.
3 days is great , not to little and not to much. In fact the shooting is so hectic that you are done after 3 days of high volume shooting.
Unexperienced shooter? No problem at all. We will provide a trainer for you , at the end of the day you will be a good shooter. And by the end of the trip you will be an experienced one as well!
La Dormida is a great place to relax for 3 days after your weeks fishing, fighting the Rio Grande Seatrout in Tierra Del Fuego. We offer a special discounted price for La Dormida for those who are taking a week with us on Rio Grande or Rio Gallegos.
Built on the tradition of over 20 years of dove shooting experience from David Denies, La Dormida is the newest, and most exclusive dove shooters accommodation ever offered in Cordoba, which has already recieved acclaim from Argentina´s journals of design and decoration.
Following proven years of success at Pica Zuro, La Dormida was built in direct response to requests from our clientele for a private lodge in which to entertain family and business colleagues. The Lodge will house as many as 8 doveshooters in style and comfort in 6 bedrooms with private baths.
La Dormida is newly constructed, and the amenities and design of the lodge reflect thoughtful details that will be appreciated by visiting shooters. While Pica Zuro is located in a working ranch location near the shooting, La Dormida is in the secluded foothills of the Sierras Chicas, and you and your private party can enjoy the comforts of a lodge you can call your own, in complete seclusion. From La Dormida, you won't be able to see a road, a power line, nor another building, so you can relax on the veranda and enjoy the great weather and splendid isolation.

LOCATION
* Located in the province of Cordoba, in central Argentina, 80 miles (130 kms) north of the Cordoba City
international airport. Driving time 1:35 hr.
* To get to La Dormida Lodge there are daily direct flights from many U.S. cities to Santiago, Chile with connecting flights to Cordoba city. That will allow you to make the most of your trip as you will be dove shooting the day of your arrival (depending on the different flight schedules).
* Hunters may also fly into Buenos Aires (Ezeiza International Airport), transfer to the domestic airport and take a 1 hr flight to Cordoba.
THE SHOOTING
Cordoba is considered the dove shooting capital of the world. The 100 square mile radius (160 km) around the lodge is annually inhabited by over 40 million dove. The lodge enjoys 55 privately held shooting fields all within a scenic drive through the region’s rich farmland. Each day the lodge donates hundreds of doves to children's charities and public dining rooms in the area.
* Shooting out of La Dormida lodge normally takes place in the nearby hills, driving only minutes to the several different fields, including flat lands, which provide excellent and continuous shooting.
* The program generally starts at 8:00 AM with a hearty breakfast and short drive to the shoot.
* In the field you will be assigned a field assistant, who will provide you with shells and refreshments and direct you to your shooting stand.
* Normally the shooting is situated in a flyway, where the doves are flying to and from their roost to grain fields to feed.
* You will be visited frequently by your head guide who will be available to assist you with any need, and even give you some tips on your shooting if required.
* Depending on the time of the year you will shoot till noon when you will be treated to an incredible barbeque lunch, shaded by a comfortable safari tent, tasting some of Argentina’s wonderful beef and superb wines.
* Afternoon begins at around 2 or 2:30 hr., and continues until almost dark. There is no definite time to end the shooting day.
* Return to the lodge for cocktails and early dinner.
